Cocktail and Dinner Functions

The British Hotel is a national trust listed hotel in leafy lower North Adelaide. The front bar gives a very warm winter welcome, with open fires during the winter months, and a fabulous meeting place for a drink before your event. Situated at the rear of the hotel is our Courtyard that has a wonderful feeling of space. It can accomodate 100 people for a sit down meal or up to 175 for a cocktail party. The BBQ facility was first installed in 1977 and is still proving popular for corporate functions and social occasions. The area is enclosed and has lost none of its charm with the venue proving popular for weddings.

For a more intimate setting the Finniss Room , our newely renovated dining room on the first floor, can cater for anything from a dinner for 70 people, a cocktail party for up to 100 people, or boardroom lunch with the ability to have up to 36 people on one table. Across the hallway is the smaller MacKinnon Room which is ideal for either pre-dinner drinks or a cocktail party for 30 people.

Downstairs also offers a Dining Room ideal for small, less formal affairs of up to 30 people or a cocktail party for 40 people. The Atrium Room overlooking the courtyard can cater for 15 people sit down or small gatherings for up to 25 people.
